All sightings should be reported in case the pups do need help | Seal pups found on South West beaches should not be approached, animal charities have warned. The RSPCA and the National Seal Sanctuary have been involved in three recent incidents involving grey seal pups discovered on local beaches. The charities say in most cases the mothers are simply feeding nearby and will return to a pup left on a beach. But the young animals risk being completely abandoned if they have even the slightest form of human contact. However the charities say any sightings of lone seal pups should be reported to the National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek or the RSPCA in case pups are ill or have been injured.
