Carriageway land purchases issued
The iron bridge on Goss Moor
The dualling will bypass the area's notorious Iron Bridge
The final compulsory purchase orders are being issued for the long-awaited A30 dualling at Goss Moor in Cornwall.

The Highways Agency is serving notices on landowners and occupiers to create a seven-mile stretch of dual carriageway.

Anyone whose property is affected by the plans between Bodmin and Indian Queens has six weeks to appeal.

Some environmentalists have criticised the 69m scheme, saying it could wipe out rare species of flora and fauna in the area.

The dualling will bypass a single lane stretch of the road on Goss Moor which connects two dualled sections.

The plans aim to ease congestion around the Iron Bridge, a notorious accident blackspot.

It is expected to take two years to complete the scheme.
