Film studios built with nearly 2m of European funding at St Agnes, in Cornwall are to close while attempts to find new owners continue. The 5.7m South West Films Studios - the region's first film studio complex - went into administration in October.
The administrator insists the studios do have a long-term future, but only once a new owner has come in with money to invest.
The studios, which date from 2001, have never been completed.
They were one of the highest profile Cornish projects backed by Objective One, which channels European cash into the county's economy.
During the administration only one film, Irish Jam, has been made there and now there is not enough money to keep staff on.
