Homes
The average house price in north Cornwall is now 170,000
Housing Minister Keith Hill will be visiting Cornwall on Monday to discuss the county's affordable housing crisis.

Mr Hill will meet MPs and local authority representatives and visit some of the most recent developments in affordable housing in the county.

He will see improvements to council properties in Falmouth and new homes in Gwel-an-Skol.

There will also be discussions about what can be done to tackle the shortage of affordable properties in the county.

A recent report by the National Housing Federation revealed council waiting lists for properties have gone up by 18% in the last four years in north Cornwall.

The average house price there is now 170,000, which is eight times the average wage.
