Meeting to debate masts in county
Phone mast
There are already three masts on the roof of the Liskeard exchange
A range of speakers will be taking part in a debate on Friday night about mobile phone masts in Cornwall.

Both sides of the mobile phone mast debate will be aired at a meeting in Liskeard's public hall.

It has been prompted by plans for more masts on Liskeard's telephone exchange.

Speakers will include representatives of the National Radiological Protection Board, Ofcom, police and independent experts. There will also be a question and answer session.

There are already three masts on the roof of the Liskeard exchange and another four in the pipeline.

There are also three mobile phone antennae and a Tetra mast for the new police communications network.

The building is on the edge of the Lake Lane estate and resident Mark Cooper has organised the meeting which he hopes will attract people from all over Cornwall.

The meeting, which starts at 1930 BST, will be chaired by the South East Cornwall MP Colin Breed.
