Three held in bridge demo
Tamar Bridge
Police are negotiating with a man on the gantry
Three people have been arrested in connection with a demonstration on the Tamar Bridge.

The protest by pressure group Fathers 4 Justice caused long traffic jams on Friday morning after two cars were parked on the bridge and two people climbed a gantry.

Traffic is now moving again, but one man is still 20ft up a gantry.

Jolly Stanesby, 35, from Ivybridge in Devon, said he had enough supplies to stay up there for a week.

He said he was highlighting the issue of fathers denied access to their children.

"Other campaigners have not made a difference," he said.

"Unless the general public are involved they will not understand what is going."

A similar demo by the group took place on the bridge in October last year.
