Drivers aid hunt for killer
Scene of the death at West Downs
Police questioned drivers on the B3314
Police hunting the killer of a 74-year-old widow at her isolated bungalow in Cornwall say they have now questioned more than 300 motorists.

Joan Roddam's body was found on 8 November in the field behind her home at West Downs, near Delabole.

Police say drivers questioned on the B3314 have provided useful information.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died from asphyxiation and suffocation, but there were no signs of a struggle or excessive violence.

Mrs Roddam was last seen alive on 6 November by local fishmonger Shawn Brewer.

Her body was discovered after a friend of the family reported they had been unable to contact her.

Police said there did not appear to be any sign of forced entry at the bungalow, so they think Mrs Roddam knew who her murderer was.

Mrs Roddam's husband died six years ago and she lived alone with her three cats.
