Cliff fall teenager critical
A teenager remains in a critical condition in hospital after falling 60 feet over a cliff in Newquay.

The 17-year-old, from Craven Arms in Shropshire, was injured at Towan beach just before midnight on Thursday night.

The youth, who has not been named by police, has not recovered consciousness at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske.

The fall happened in an area close to the bowling green and is being treated as an accident by police.

The alarm was raised by holidaymakers who were having barbeques on the beach.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the next two days will be crucial to the teenager's recovery.
