Medieval tankards and a 15th Century helmet were stolen during a raid on a church in Cambridgeshire.

Thieves stole three medieval tankards and the helmet from inside a cabinet after breaking into St Mary's Church in Main Street, Hardwick.

Cambridgeshire Police are appealing for information about the burglary which occurred between 13 May and 17 May.

Pc Jamie Brown said: "I would appeal to anyone who lives in the area or was visiting last week."

The helmet is believed to be Italian and date from the 15th Century.
