Millions of pounds could be spent on a brain injury rehabilitation service at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Sue Ryder Care is planning to spend �10m on the service over five years in partnership with the hospital.
The charity also hopes to develop a new specialist service to replace Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.
The plans are part of Sue Ryder Care's �40m programme over the next five years for projects in Cambridgeshire, Tayside, Grampian and the North West.
At Cuerden Hall, near Preston, the charity is planning a new development to replace the outdated neurological centre.
