New crackdown on doorstep crime
A crackdown on doorstep and distraction crime has been launched and will continue throughout the summer.

Cambs County Council and police are setting up new "No Cold Calling" zones in areas they expect to see a seasonal increase in this sort of crime.

Older and vulnerable people will be warned of the dangers of walk-in and distraction burglaries.

Trading Standards and the police set up these restriction zones three years ago and the 50th was introduced in March.

Over the last three years doorstep crime fallen by over 50% in these No Cold Calling zones.
