City enjoys 6.9% economic growth
Peterborough is enjoying a boom time compared to the rest of the country, according to government figures.

The city's economy enjoyed more growth than regional or national averages, a study from the Office for National Statistics reveals.

Peterborough's growth in 2005 was 6.9% compared to a national average of 5.5% and 6.5% for the whole of East Anglia.

Councillor John Holdich, responsible for housing and regeneration, said the city's economy is very buoyant.
