Dig uncovers life 4,000 years ago
Stone from a nearby church
Fragments of stone, probably from a church, were found
Evidence of Stone Age life from more than 4,000 years ago has been uncovered in a dig in Huntingdon, Cambs.

Prehistoric finds near Walden House on George Street include Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowheads found in a ditch alongside pottery and animal bone.

Town life from the 11th to 14th centuries has also been unearthed, including fragments of stone likely to be from a nearby church.

Archaeologists from Cambridgeshire County Council are analysing the finds.

Further excavations will take place as part of the 30m town centre redevelopment project.
