Football club EGM to sell stadium
Cambridge United football club shareholders face a make or break decision on Monday evening at an extraordinary general meeting.

The group must decide to sell and lease back the Abbey Stadium or go into administration or receivership.

Fans director Brian Attmore has also revealed he will present a community-based business plan to save the club but will decide his vote on the night.

He said: "I back the board in calling the EGM but I'll present other ideas."

Outcome could be crucial

Mr Attmore has not given his vote as a shareholder to the proposal going before the shareholders and directors.

"It is an important meeting and the outcome could be crucial in determining the future of the club," he said.

"Any decision I make will be taken on the night based upon any proposals presented.

"I suggest all shareholders do the same before declaring their intentions."
