The city's 91 CCTV cameras have helped in the 780 arrested in 2003 | CCTV cameras have helped lift arrest rates in Cambridge over the last year. A new report says the city's 91 cameras helped officers to detain 760 people during 2003 - a fifth up on the previous year's figure. Police also report that recently-installed mobile cameras on the city's Mill Road have helped reduce anti-social behaviour in a matter of weeks. To help in the fight against crime, many shops, pubs and clubs have direct contact to the CCTV operators.
