Grant to build affordable homes
A charity in Ely has been given a �5m grant from the government to build extra affordable homes.

The grant is going to Hereward Housing, which is based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

The money will be put towards building two homes for about 70 elderly people and for a further 80 homes for low income families and key workers.

Hereward Housing is a charitable housing association which bought the whole of East Cambridgeshire District Council's housing stock in 1993.
