The death of a man whose burning body was found beside a road in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday is not being treated as suspicious by police. A post-mortem examination at Addenbrooke's Hospital found the man died of injuries sustained during the fire.
The alarm was raised at around 1120 GMT when a passing motorist spotted smoke coming from the side of High Ditch Road in Fen Ditton near Cambridge.
Sealed off
Firefighters found the body in undergrowth and alerted police.
The road was closed for about five hours and the area sealed off as police scenes of crime officers combed the scene.
Police believe they know the identity of the dead man and are contacting family members.
A file will be submitted to the coroner on the man's death and an inquest is expected to be held at a later date.
