Brian Stevens and Louise Austin appeared at Luton Crown Court |
A detective who worked as a family liaison officer in the Soham murder case and a Crown Prosecution Service administrator have denied conspiring to pervert the course of justice. Detective Constable Brian Stevens, 42, and Louise Austin, 32, both from Cambridgeshire, entered not guilty pleas when they appeared at Luton Crown Court on Monday.
Both have been released on bail to a date to be fixed.
The defendants have been ordered by the court not to contact one another, except through a solicitor.
Mr Stevens and Ms Austin were both charged in September following an investigation by detectives from West Midlands police.
Mr Stevens, who works for Cambridgeshire police, was last year charged with child pornography offences.
But at his trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London in August the Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence.
