Injured veteran rides with Stig
Pte Jamie Cooper
Pte Cooper was injured in 2006
A teenage soldier who was badly injured in Iraq was invited by the Top Gear team to drive a lap with the show's mystery driver The Stig.

Pte Jamie Cooper, 19, from Bristol, is still undergoing rehabilitation after being hit by shrapnel in Basra.

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is a patron of the charity Help for Heroes, which supports wounded servicemen and their families.

Pte Cooper may be a wheelchair user for the rest of his life.

Since his regiment, the Royal Green Jackets, came under mortar attack in Basra in November 2006, Pte Cooper has suffered further setbacks after catching a series of infections at Birmingham's Selly Oak hospital.
