Diversion planned for bridge work
The Old Severn Bridge
A diversion will be put in place
The westbound carriageway of the old Severn Bridge will be closed over the weekend for resurfacing and waterproofing work.

The closure will begin at 0600 BST on Saturday and is due to be completed by 1800 BST on Sunday.

During the closure, westbound traffic will be diverted across the M4 Second Severn Crossing.

The work was originally planned for June, but was postponed due to bad weather.

Chris Pope, from the Highways Agency, said: "Westbound drivers are advised to look out for diversion signs and allow more time for their journeys."
