At the service the teenager was described as "a popular lad who touched hundreds in his short life". The plane's pilot Robert Gunter, 34, from Downend, South Gloucestershire, was also killed in the crash. The service was relayed outside on loudspeakers. During the service his father Gordon, paid tribute. "Anyone who met Jamie, liked or loved him. I love you son, good night God bless, till we meet again. "Jamie's life proves that not all kids are bad." Jamie died instantly when the two-seater Cessna light aircraft in which he was a passenger crashed into a field and burst into flames.
