Taxiing aircraft 'closed runway' | | The runway at Bristol International Airport was closed for a short time to recover a plane which had veered onto grass while taxiing to the terminal. All 52 passengers on board the Air Aurigny flight from Guernsey were safely taken to the main terminal. An airport spokesman said it was too early to say how it happened but an investigation would be carried out into the incident on Friday at lunchtime. Three flights were diverted to Cardiff during the 75-minute closure.
