City flooded by torrential rain
Heavy overnight storms have flooded parts of Bristol.

Crews from Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called out to deal with properties under water, storm-triggered fire alarms and a number of road accidents.

Spokeswoman Wenna Coombs said that despite the high volume of calls, the brigade was coping well.

Western Power, which dealt with several power outages caused by the storms, is on high alert as more torrential rain is forecast.
