Tiny Lives cash campaign extended
A charity which needs to raise 1.2m to refurbish a neonatal intensive Care Unit at Southmead Hospital, is to extend its appeal a further two months.

Bristol-based Tiny Lives has raised 1,050,000 and has a further 100,000 pledged but still needs 50,000 more.

Karen Willis, Fundraising Manager, said: "We hope the unit will be reopened in June.

"So we have decided to extend the appeal for a further two months."

She went on: "The people of Bristol have been incredibly supportive since we launched in April 2004 and we now need their help this one last time."

The unit cares for more than 500 sick and premature babies every year.
