Inmates dig scheme for local food
Inmates from Leyhill Prison Community Action Team will clear and cultivate an allotment site as part of a scheme encouraging people to grow vegetables.

The men will join members of Knowle West's Northern Slopes Initiative Group on the site at Knowle West Healthy Living Centre on Downton Road, Bristol.

The group is preparing plots in advance of a six-week public course on food growing and allotment care.

Funding comes from the Safer Bristol Partnership and Neighbourhood Renewal.
