Praise for police heart treatment
Two police officers are being praised after saving the life of a man who was having a heart attack.

Pc Jon Wall and Pc Matthew Barrow administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Russell Bell, 61.

The Avon and Somerset officers were called to Mr Bell's home in Coalpit Heath on Saturday evening. Their actions helped him regain conciousness.

Ambulance workers took over a short time later. The two officers have been nominated for a Royal Humane Award.

Pc Wall said: "Fortunately we were close and able to provide a rapid response."
