Air passengers warned of delays
Passengers flying out of Bristol International Airport have been advised to contact their airlines to check flights, following delays due to snow.

The airport closed for about three hours on Thursday night while staff cleared the runway of snow and ice.

Four outbound flights were cancelled and four inbound flights were diverted to other airports.

There were some flight cancellations on Friday morning and travellers were warned of further delays.

Alternative arrangements

Passengers on diverted flights were coached back to Bristol overnight.

Tony Hallwood, Aviation Development Director apologised for the inconvenience caused.

"All passengers where possible have been booked on the next available flights, and every effort has been made by the airlines to make alternative arrangements for passengers in terms of onward travel.

"Bristol International's team have worked diligently overnight to ensure that the airport could reopen as quickly as possible despite the adverse weather conditions."
