A new course record has been set in the Bristol Half-marathon.
The race was won by Kenyan Julius Kabet who completed it in 1hr, 2mins and 53 seconds.
The first UK competitor across the finish line was 27-year-old Ben Noad, of Bath, who came in third.
Traffic on the course delayed the start of the race through Bristol by 15 minutes.
A tow-truck was called to remove a vehicle parked close to the race start, spectators told BBC News Online.
However, the car's driver took the car away before it was towed.
Race officials say 6,770 started the 13-mile (21km) race around the city.
Ten thousand places had been available but the forecast of rain is thought to have put of some fair-weather runners.
A series of rolling road closures and diversions was put in place on the course. All roads were expected to reopen by 1600 BST.
Starting from Broad Quay, contestants run a circuit which winds through the city centre and along the Avon Gorge.
Veterans of the 1984 Olympic team including Steve Cram were among athletes running in aid of the race charities, St Peter's Hospice and Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood (CLIC).
