Fire crew injured in house crash
Scene of the crash
The fire service is investigating the cause of the crash
Five firefighters were injured when their fire engine crashed into a house in Bradford as they responded to an emergency call.

The ground floor of the home in Albion Street, Idle, was wrecked in the crash early on Saturday morning.

Police said the occupants of the house, who were upstairs, escaped unharmed.

The five crew were taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. Three had minor injuries and two were more seriously hurt, police said.

Albion Street and neighbouring Albion Road have been closed to allow fire and police investigators to examine the scene.

Surveyors are expected to assess the extent of the damage to the property later on Saturday.
