Fines issued for public disorder
Some rowdy revellers had a more costly night out than they had budgeted for after they were issued with 80 on-the-spot fines by police.

A total of 16 men were arrested across east Berkshire as police continue to target alcohol-related public disorder in town centres.

Eight were held in Maidenhead town centre, one in Windsor, five in Slough and two in Bracknell last weekend.

Police patrols will continue on Fridays and Saturdays until the New Year.

A police spokesman said: "Operation Hangover aims to keep our town centres safe for people to enjoy a night out - but anyone behaving in a disorderly manner can expect to receive an on-the-spot fine, and those who are violent will be arrested.

"Most of these incidents were drink-related, but none of them resulted in serious injury or harm."
