Jane Longhurst's mother wants violent internet porn outlawed |
The mother of murdered teacher Jane Longhurst has called for a major organisation to back her campaign to ban violent porn internet sites. Liz Longhurst launched her national petition to shut down sites like those visited by Miss Longhurst's killer, Graham Coutts.
Since February, Mrs Longhurst has collected 22,000 signatures.
The 72-year-old appealed for an international backer at the Womad event in Reading, Berkshire, on Sunday.
During his trial earlier this year, Lewes Crown Court heard how Coutts had viewed such sites hours before he murdered Jane, 31, from Brighton.
He also admitted to having a seven-year addiction to online violent pornography.
Miss Longhurst was brought up and went to school in Reading.
