C&W moves HQ to Berkshire
Telecoms company Cable and Wireless has announced it is moving its UK headquarters to Bracknell in Berkshire.

The company has decided to re-locate its headquarters for UK business operations from London and Watford to save 30m.

Almost 2,000 people are expected to be working at the new base by March 2004.

Company spokesman Gareth James says the move will create about 100 new jobs in Bracknell.

Earlier this year C&W revealed it was planning to cut 1,500 jobs in the UK in an attempt to restructure its struggling business.
