PCs seized in child porn inquiry
Indecent images of children have been found on 27 computers seized in an operation by police in Bedfordshire.

The machines were all confiscated during a week-long investigation into internet images of child sex abuse.

Officers with the county's online investigation team also seized videos, CDs and DVDs which will be examined.

The computers were kept at 11 addresses in Houghton Regis, Harlington, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, Houghton Conquest, Arlesey, Chicksands and Luton.

Police said the confiscated items are being held at Bedfordshire Police headquarters, where they will be kept and used as evidence.

Det Con Ian Hendley, of Bedfordshire Police, said: "We were acting on intelligence received from a number of agencies in this country and abroad about the potential downloading of indecent images of children.

"We also look closely for any incidents of adults "grooming" young people over the internet too."
