Conservative MP Jonathan Sayeed may face suspension from Commons |
A Conservative MP waiting to see if he faces suspension from the House of Commons will find out the findings of an inquiry later this week. Jonathan Sayeed, who represents Mid Bedfordshire, was investigated by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner.
A Sunday newspaper had alleged he made money out of private tours of Parliament.
Mr Sayeed says he has never solicited or received payment for guiding anyone around the Palace of Westminster.
The report into Mr Sayeed's conduct has been passed to the Commons Standards Committee, which met on Tuesday.
The findings of the investigation are expected to be released on Thursday morning.
