Hidden cameras target fly-tippers
Fly-tipping
Fly-tippers can be jailed for up to two years
CCTV surveillance has cut illegal tipping in one county by 20% in a year, say council officials.

Several people in Buckinghamshire have been fined by magistrates after being caught on camera, with more yet to appear in court.

Fly-tippers can be sent to crown court and given an unlimited fine or jailed for up to two years.

The county also credits a new 24-hour hotline for helping to cut the incidence of illegal dumping.
