Belated card arrives 14 years on
A Hertfordshire man has received a birthday card from his brother - nearly 14 years after it was posted.

Royal Mail bosses delivered the card in a polythene cover to Jeff Morgan in Hemel Hempstead, 20 miles away, explaining it had been lost in transit.

His brother David sent the card from Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, in 1990. The address and post code were both correct.

Royal Mail apologised for the delay and gave Jeff a tour of the local offices.

Jeff Morgan, 66, joked: "David's cards always come a bit late.

"But this one was posted on 20 September 1990, which would have been my 53rd birthday."
