Homecoming parade for RAF troops

A homecoming parade has been held in Suffolk to welcome back servicemen and women back from a tour of Afghanistan.

Members of 1 Squadron RAF Regiment based at RAF Honington in Norfolk and Suffolk returned home from a six-month deployment on Wednesday night.

Bury St Edmunds held a homecoming parade for the squadron, which marched through the town centre and into the new Arc shopping centre.

Three men who were wounded in active service joined in the parade.

A civic reception was also held for the regiment and their families.
