Crufts competitors will be able to relax comfortably in their own beds |
Budget hotel chain Travelodge has said it will make its own range of "pooch beds" available for dogs travelling with their owners to Crufts 2008. The announcement comes ahead of this year's prestigious dog show which opens on Thursday.
Travelodge says it expects more than 300 dogs to stay at its hotels during Crufts, especially around Birmingham where the competition is held.
King-size beds complete with mattress, pillow and duvet will be available.
"Crufts is a big occasion in the dog calendar and we want to acknowledge the importance of this event," says Travelodge sleep director Leigh McCarron.
"Therefore we have extended our range of pooch beds to ensure our two- and four-legged customers get their beauty sleep in order to look and feel their best for the big occasion."
