One Railways operate East Anglia's leading commuter services
Punctuality improved and customer complaints declined for a leading rail company during the period June to September this year.

Latest figures from the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) revealed punctuality for One Railways was 90.8%, up 3.3% on the same period of 2006.

Complaints fell from 59 per 100,000 journeys to 33 per 100,000 journeys.

The company said improved punctuality, train upgrades and more reliable air conditioning helped boost performance.

The company runs services between Norwich, Cambridge and London through Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire.

Andrew Chivers, managing director said: "We know we have much more to do, especially in achieving the consistency of performance our customers expect during the autumn months.

"But we've made good progress this year in addressing the key issues of reliability, information provision and on-train comfort."
