Voters have gone to the polls across the South West for elections to local councils. In Cornwall 226 seats have been contested, while in Devon 365 seats were up for election.
One council in the spotlight is Plymouth, where one-third of the seats will be fought and where Labour is defending a one-seat majority.
Polling stations, which opened at 0700 BST, were opened across the region until 2200 BST.
In Cornwall there were whole council elections in Caradon, Carrick, Kerrier, North Cornwall and Restormel.
In Penwith, a third of the seats were up for election.
In Devon there were whole council elections in East Devon, Mid Devon, North Devon, South Hams, Teignbridge, Torbay, Torridge and West Devon.
Exeter and Plymouth elect by thirds.
Elections were also held for hundreds of parish councillors.
