Older people in sheltered housing who thought they were too old to use the internet are being taught how. A technology school and a housing group teamed up on the Kent project to get more than 450 "silver surfers" online.
Town and Country Housing said a recent survey showed nearly 66% of people over 55 were missing out on the web.
The project taught people in Tunbridge Wells to browse the web, send e-mails, and create a family tree, guided by a teacher from Bennett Memorial School.
