Double Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes is to have a high-speed train named after her. The first domestic train to use the Channel Tunnel Rail Link in 2009 will be named after 2004 Olympic 800m and 1500m champion, from Tonbridge, Kent.
The train will be one of 28 to be operated by Southeastern Trains between Ashford International station in her home county and London's St Pancras.
The route's other trains will also be named after Britons famous for speed.
The rolling stock will be used to take spectators at the London 2012 Olympics from St Pancras to Stratford Station.
