The destination follows the beginning of a daily service to Belfast that began in February. Flights to Edinburgh are available from �25 one way.

Flybe will launch a further two routes over the next couple of months to Jersey (7 May) and Glasgow (16 June).

Flybe aims to handle 300,000 passengers in its first year.

The airline will provide thousands of seats throughout 2005, and said it would be ruthless in its pricing to beat off the competition.
