More disruption ahead on trains
Commuters in the region have been warned they will face further disruption after workers on Central trains announced more strike action.

This weekend almost all services through Peterborough to Stansted, Norwich and the Midlands, including Northampton, were affected.

The next strikes will take place on Sunday 27 March and Sunday 3 April.

The dispute involves senior conductors who feel they should have time off in exchange for working over Christmas.

Steve Banaghan, managing director of Central trains, said they were happy to discuss any aspect of senior conductors' terms and conditions with the RMT union.

Ken Usher, of the RMT, said he had made himself available to the company but they had refused to meet him.

"We're available, still available, to resolve this issue," he said.
