A father-of-two who lost his sight at the age of 12 has completed his bid to fly around the UK. Steve Cunningham, 41, from Weedon Lois on the Oxfordshire/Northants border, took off from Cardiff on the final leg of a five-day journey on Friday.
He finally touched down at the White Waltham airfield near Maidenhead, Berkshire, at 1311 BST.
He had a co-pilot, but talking computer software put him in full control of the Piper Warrior light aircraft.
The journey, which began at Biggin Hill airfield in Kent on Monday, has taken him to Newcastle, Glasgow, Belfast and Cardiff.
The challenge aims to raise cash for the Royal National Institute of the Blind and the British Deaf Association.
This latest flight is a major personal achievement for Mr Cunningham, who has also successfully completed similar feats across land and sea.
The keen golfer and footballer has been blind since the age of 12.
