Bus use falls in most UK cities

London is where almost all the growth in bus use in happening
The number of people using the buses in most of the nation's cities is falling - with the exception of London.

A Confederation of Passenger Transport report shows a stark contrast between the capital - where numbers are soaring - and other big cities.

Many of the other cities say they want the power to regulate buses, as Mayor Ken Livingstone has in London.

But the bus firms say the lack of use is down to local authorities' failure to spend on bus priority measures.
