Vanessa Mae's boyfriend claimed he saw Mr Martin in Kensington |
A man awaiting trial for allegedly breaking a court order to keep away from violinist Vanessa Mae has been banned from entering London. Magistrates ruled David Martin, 56, an unemployed hospital technician, must stay at a bail hostel in Brighton.
An indefinite restraining order was imposed on Mr Martin on Christmas Eve last year.
It followed claims that he bombarded the musician with love letters and logged her movements.
West London magistrates heard Mr Martin was arrested earlier this month after Vanessa Mae's boyfriend claimed to have seen him near the musician's Kensington home.
Mr Martin has been told he remains subject to the restraining order and must not contact the musician, or her fan club, or attend her concerts.
The unmarried man, previously of Western Road, Brighton, is only allowed to enter Greater London to visit court or see his solicitor, magistrates said.
A date for his trial for allegedly breaching the restraining order has yet to be set.
