Runner in cross-channel challenge
Glyn Marston
Glyn Marston will be running a marathon every day for eight days
A long distance runner is taking part in the Paris marathon on Sunday - and then the really hard work starts.

Bakery worker Glyn Marston, from Willenhall, will run back to England from the French capital in time to take part in the London marathon.

The epic 220-mile challenge will mean running an average of 28 miles for eight successive days.

Glyn, 40, who took up running ten years ago after quitting smoking, has raised more than 23,000 for charity with his marathon running exploits.

"We have to be in London for the start of the marathon on the 13th, otherwise we will not be able to compete, so we do not have time to hang about," he said.

The Sneyd Striders runner, who works in Wednesbury, will also be taking part in the Marathon of Britain and the New York Marathon.

He will be raising money for the Leukaemia Research Fund.

His previous endurance feats have included a 145-mile canal race and a gruelling run across the Grand Canyon.
