New 'cab-style' bus service
Bus
The bus will support existing local transport services
A new bus service in Nottingham has been designed to be more like a cab.

From March it will operate around the Mapperley and Sherwood areas.

Passengers can ring up and ask for the bus to pick them up near their home.

The service is free for pensioners and the disabled, for paying adults it costs 80p.

Mybus has been given a 175,000 grant from the Urban Bus Challenge Fund, a government scheme, for a two-year trial.

If it is successful, it could be expanded to other areas.
