Three remanded after airbase protest
Three men have appeared in court after being arrested in connection with recent demonstrations at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

Josh Richards, 29, from Easton in Bristol, is charged with possessing an explosive substance with intent to endanger life and property.

He is also charged with damaging a perimeter fence, intent to cause damage and cultivating cannabis.

Toby Olditch, 34, and Philip Pritchard, 32, both from Oxford, are each charged with aggravated trespass, conspiracy to cause damage and intent to cause damage.

The three men were remanded in custody at Gloucester Crown Court and will stand trial in May.

A small demonstration was staged by about six supporters of the accused.

Several peace protests have taken place at the RAF base in recent weeks, and as B-52 bombers continue to take off from there, security has been tightened.
